When added to steel, Wear Resistance Enhancer ferr ovanadium improves its hardness, toughness, and resistance to surface wear. Vanadium, in combination with other alloying elements, forms hard carbides, nitrides, or borides within the steel’s microstructure. These compounds act as strengthening agents, reducing the friction and wear between surfaces in contact.
