DESCRIPTION

Tungsten, known for its high melting point among all metals, imparts this characteristic to the alloy. Typically, high melting point ferro tungsten contains a significant amount of tungsten, usually around 70% or higher, with the remaining composition being iron.

The high melting point of ferro tungsten makes it suitable for applications that require materials capable of withstanding extreme temperatures. It can withstand temperatures of up to 3,422°C (6,191°F) before melting, making it one of the most heat-resistant materials available. This property makes high melting point ferro tungsten valuable in industries such as aerospace, defense, high-temperature furnaces, and electrical contacts where elevated temperatures are encountered.
