DESCRIPTION

Wind turbines operate in demanding conditions with constant exposure to strong winds, temperature variations, and mechanical stresses. Ferrovanadium is added to high-strength steels used in wind turbine components, such as shafts, gears, and rotor hubs, to enhance their strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. It also helps improve the corrosion resistance of certain materials used in offshore wind turbines, where exposure to salty sea air is a concern.

In geothermal power plants, where materials are exposed to high temperatures and corrosive geothermal fluids, ferrovanadium can be used to enhance the high-temperature stability and corrosion resistance of certain materials used in critical components.
