Among the many solutions, we offer more avant-garde weathering steel wall cladding, which are more and more often used in modern architecture. It is a great solution for projects maintained in an industrial and minimalist style. Firstly, the corten steel wall cladding is made from corten steel. We use those scale drawings to nut out and plan the fabrication of the corten steel cladding system inside our studio. Once the cladding system is fabricated we take it outside and accelerate the rusting process. Finally we have a pre rusted corten steel cladding skin, this is loaded up and taken to site where the fabrication and fitting is completed during installation. Corten steel is also often called rusting. This is not a coincidence – the specificity of this very resistant material means that the metal sheet becomes covered with a characteristic rust-coloured coating under the influence of moisture. This process takes from several months to several years, making the facade “still alive”. At first, the patina layer is reddish-brown, which darkens with time.
