DESCRIPTION
Aesthetically pleasing to the eye, corten steel has become popular with many high profile architects and has been specified and used in a variety of applications in including building fascias, corten steel exterior cladding wall, architectural sculptures and bridges. The protective layer of corten steel constantly develops and regenerates over time, reacting to the pollutants in the atmosphere. Architectural wall cladding can be supplied 0.7 mm and 1.00 mm base metal thickness as consideration should be made with regard to the thicknesses used especially when the material is utilized for structural rather than solely decorative purposes. This product also provides greater thermal resistance compared to the standard version, and results in a slightly satin finish, while protecting the oxidized surface against dirt and atmospheric agents. It is the perfect solution when varnishing is not favoured, but a certain level of protection of the oxidized finish of corten steel is required.
