DESCRIPTION
Corten steel (also known as weathering steel) is a metallic alloy composed of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium are added. The strength is comparable to that of other alloyed steels such as stainless steel. Characteristic of Corten steel is the brown rust orange colour and its duration of life. Duration of life is quite long because the first corrosion layer stops any further deterioration by rust. Corten steel fire bowls are ideal for the occasional user and for decorative element in the garden.
