The hand make corten steel fire pit is a minimalistic design, inspired by both functionality and modernism. The sleek straight lines and simplistic design are juxtaposed by the structural steel. Made from 100% Corten Steel the Fire Pit will slowly change from a blueish grey to a deep rustic orange. As the patina builds up the Fire Pit will be slowly sealed, with the finished fully airtight coating protecting the unit ensuring no maintenance is needed. Unlike rust the coating will no penetrate the steel guaranteeing no loss of thickness of the metal and no flaking. This handcrafted outdoor fire pit is constructed entirely of 11 gauge Cor-Ten steel. Commonly called “weathering steel” it will develop a beautifully brown layer of rust when exposed to the weather.
